Criteria to be an NPO in the Los Cabos Community Youth Center
Does your NPO meet our Criteria?
Is your NPO focused on helping the youth in the Los Cabos community in the following areas: prevention, activities, and services for physical and mental health, services for children with disabilities, improving access to healthy food and nutrition (e.g., food bank, garden), and vocational training (e.g., hospitality school).
Will your NPO reside at the Youth Center and will you engage with their recipients (e.g., kids) at this location? The space will not be used as an administrative office only. Has the NPO been in business for at least 3 years and will you share the financials for that timeframe?
Has your NPO established a governing board that meets at least semi-annually, but ideally quarterly?
Does your NPO have the ability to pay for their share of the maintenance costs at the Youth Center, and costs related to their space directly (e.g., electricity costs, insurance, security deposit, and protección civil costs)?
If you meet this criteria, please contact our Executive Director.

Volunteering
We are a model of support for our community, and we’re looking for you to get involved. At our Youth Center, volunteers make a real difference—whether you come as an individual or with a group. Past volunteers have helped us clean and plant our garden, painted classrooms, played games with the kids, shared meals, and even taught English. Your time and talents directly support our children and strengthen our community.
Ways to Get Involved
Group Service Days
– Refresh the garden and plant seedlings
– Paint classrooms or clinic areas
– Host a fun activities day with healthy snacks for the kids
Individual Opportunities
– Teach English conversation skills at the Boys & Girls Club.
– Support our annual Spring fundraiser with social media, photography, or event set-up
– Boost a fundraising campaign for a specific project
– Help plan and support our community medical clinics
– Provide coaching for sports teams like soccer and instruction in activities such as boxing and karate.
Whether you have a few hours or a full day, we’d love to welcome you, please contact our Executive Director.

Help Us Grow
For 2025–2026, we’ve identified three major projects to expand the Los Cabos Youth Center’s reach. These initiatives will double our impact—serving 1,000 more children each year—while supporting both current and future generations. Together, they require $825,000 USD in funding over the next two years.

1. New Multi-Use Building
A new building featuring a basketball court and a volleyball court, a large kitchen to support kid’s events, and flexible space to host large training courses. We’ll coordinate our sports programs with the Boys & Girls Club and participating local schools. Hosting youth-focused activities and events.

2. The Boys & Girls Club Expansion
This project represents a 60% space increase for The Boys & Girls Club of BCS, creating room for four new classrooms and a large activity area.
Double the number of highly demanded programs such as English language classes. Serve at least 30% more children,150 more children per year.

3. Children’s Play Area & Community Garden
A welcoming space for visiting families and children served by our resident organizations. Our Community Garden will teach farming skills and provide families with fresh, nutritious food. Funding for this project has been achieved thanks to the support from or donors.
